Carsten Prenger, aka BoogieBoyCarsten, posted a link on the FSS boards to a really dope project of his. The trailer above is from Something Out of Nothing, a  DVD that is included with the book of the same name.

Here’s a description in his own words:

“Being a bboy for almost 10 years, I always wanted to document the development of this dance in a way this artform deserves. So I came up with this book.

Each chapter of it deals with one decade of the history of the dance and has its own colour scheme. With the help of photographers from all parts of the world, who donated their photos for this project, only authentic and original photo material is used in this book, from the 70′s until today. In addition to the historic portrayal, the book also includes a DVD with worldwide footage to express what this project is all about: true love for the dance.”

Unfortunately, this is just a school project at this point and is unavailable to buy. But I bet if enough people made enough noise about this, he might be inspired to work on making this available to the public.
