“Break My Heart” Girl Tee from ABDC

Continuing the b-girl theme from yesterday, this is a shirt that I spotted over at Journeys the other week.
It clearly takes a lot of inspiration from the JabbaWockeeZ t-shirts from Armory, and it does a pretty job at grabbing one’s attention. And, of course, they have the required b-boy silhouettes.
More so than the shirt itself, I think the really interesting issue is the fact that America’s Best Dance Crew is branching out with gear aimed at b-girls and b-boy/b-girl enthusiasts. Does this mean there will be more demand for b-boys and b-girls among girls, the way Mutya Buena wants b-boys or Avril Lavigne wants sk8ter bois? I hope so/not.

Past 3 years have of abdc have been bboy dominated…..but i’m not sure if they’re going to continue the trend cause “America” wants to see some other kinds of crews win.
But keep in mind that the whole idea of “America, YOU choose the winners” means that there’s very little legitamcy (sp?) in this kind of competition.
I’m considering getting this shirt for my girlfriend b/c she supports the bboy culture. The style and colors definitely let the people know that the shirt is feminine, but still hiphop.
