Help Us Redesign MTAS!

More Than A Stance is coming up on its second anniversary in April (yes, we’re open to you buying us huge and expensive birthday presents or donating your frequent flier miles), and we’ve been toying around with the idea of updating the design of the site.
We were really lucky to have the awesomely talented Stephanie Foo design the site that you are looking at now, and she will continue to be the designer for our update.
What we need from you are your ideas. Is there something you want to see on the site? Does the navigation confuse you? Do you hate the layout of our blog or features pages? Also, tell us what you want us to keep — we’d hate to change something that’s already working perfectly for you guys.

I love the look of your site. Easy to read with the nice white background.
2, humbly suggested, suggestions—
1. Is there a spot to find all your music posts? I thought I remember you guys mentioning that in a post, but I can’t seem to find it anymore. Maybe make that more clear, or create a section just for music.
2. Highlight more than one feature on the main page. Find a way to have your 1 major feature…then maybe a couple links to your older features. You guys have accumulated so many good articles that it wouldn’t hurt to make them more available to people visiting for the first time.
Anyway, congratulations on the 2yrs, and keep up the great work!!
Like Joe said below, you can find them by clicking on the category link in the bottom right of each post. But I agree, it’s difficult to locate, plus you have to scroll down till you find a music post and then click it. We’ll definitely work on that.

@Chris, the music spots can be found if you look at one of the latest music blogs. Near the bottom right corner of the blog entry, it says what category it’s in. I think most, if not all of the music is in the “Free Downloads” category, so that’s one way of identifying them all.
I do agree with you, maybe a section with a link to all categories or some tabs would make it a lot easier to discover all the info on here. There’s seriously loads of info and when I first came to this site I thought there wouldn’t be much.
Other than that, I love the layout of the website, very easy to follow, and appealing. Great stuff.

We’ve got some good stuff in store for you in the coming months as far as your suggestions on interviews go.
The idea with our Blog right now is to be a kind of “for your entertainment” section. That’s a good suggestion though, thanks!

You guys should start a “classics” section for the more popular/important featured articles. It’s only been two years but there are already some real gems on here.

Dang, really good feedback. Makes me think a “recent comments” box might also be useful.
Yeah I think a total sidebar redesign would be good.
I would love to see some more crew interviews – theres a lot of solo interviews on the web but not many from crews.
Community stories as well – like the ones you hear about bboys going to an area where crime is rife etc and the bboys change eveything…i think there was one or 2 on here before.
Oh, and wouldn’t a category selection page be better for narrowing down the choice of articles? Cause you get relevant articles on the side but not the ones the person is looking for. So a category page for all your articles would be great!
