Free Downloads: DJ Quantum Mixes

DJ Quantum of the Headhunters Crew isn’t one to keep his music to himself. He’s been kindly uploading his mixes to divshare for a while now, so in case you’ve missed out, here are 3 fresh mixes from Quantum (click the titles to go to the download page, or click the arrow on the right side of the players):
1. HI Def Funk – 9 min
Maybe it’s just the pianos in the beginning, but this mix has a Japanese hip-hop feel to me in the beginning. It transitions nicely from laid back groove funk to some more aggressive and energetic songs about halfway through.
2. Breakhunters – 35 min
A raw mix from the very beginning. Quantum kills it with his mashup of Head Automatica and that one song (you know… that one song that’s dope!). Lots of classics mixed with some newer stuff like Budos Band and Sharon Jones mean that this mix never gets boring.
3. Funk Steez Mixtape – 45 min
This hip-hop mix really hits the spot. Throw some Nas, Gangstarr, KRS-One, EPMD, and others together and out comes one of my favorite mixes of the past 6 months.
