It’s always nice when someone sends their mixtape for us to check out. I’m a fiend for new music, so I’ll never pass up an opportunity to hear something fresh and free.

Pure, who runs a blog where you can download his free mixes (plus some not-technically-free but free-for-download albums by other artists), sent us this mix titled PK7 -The Life and Times of a B-Boy. It’s an interesting mix of genres and styles, with Peter Bjorn & John right next to M.I.A. and David Bowie. He even pulls out the opening sequence of Planet B-Boy, including Ken Swift’s commentary, for the beginning of the mix.

This is not for the “break to the breaks!” crowd, but if you’re looking for something new this should satisfy. Check it and let him know what you think here.
