It’s over a year old, but I keep finding myself coming back to this enigmatic trailer for Always Be Boyz.

Featuring the likes of Gamblerz, Drifterz and Rivers Crew, the dancing and filming of the movie look top notch. But then, perhaps as a well-executed trailer should, it leaves the viewer with some questions. Why is the music so much louder than the dialogue? What’s with the trippy screen saver-looking transitions and effects? Why end the trailer with one b-boy ominously noting that none of them grew up with father figures?

Judging from this poster, it’s a legitimate release that has already scored a handful of awards, but the official site is down more often than it’s up, and an attempt to contact the director went unanswered. In any case, we’ll be waiting patiently and checking the film’s YouTube page for updates.
