Top Clips of the 2000s: Generations Battle
POSTED ON December 22nd, 2009 BY PaulSometimes the idea of a battle is way more satisfying than the battle itself. A battle between the older and newer generations of b-boys sounds like it would be crazy, but it also sounds like it might be just a little confusing. It had as much of a chance of being awkward as it did of being really dope. And yes, there were awkward moments, but the clip titled simply Generations Battle had way more win than fail.
Featuring almost all of my favorite b-boys at the time, Generations Battle had me from the get go with “Hey takes three step back yeah?” all the way to the super loud and distracting “You guys smoke weed?” Not that the random voices were the exciting part.
Watching Ben go up against Kujo: totally rad and way overdue (plus we finally got to see that move that Kujo does in the LOTF 2 trailer that somehow never made it to the DVD). Seeing Ronnie and Do Knock pre-Supercrew going up against Juse Boogy being… well, just being Juse Boogy: totally rad as well.
You might feel the need to skip around in this 20-minute clip; I know I did at first. But trust me when I say that you’ll end up missing some gems if you do that.

Yo, you guys gotta put the Visual Shock show from BOTY 2001 on the list, that show pretty much put Korea on the map. Either that, or hong10 making his debut at BOTY 2002 which at the time looked like someone doing 1000 freeze in 1 combo.
Word, thanks for the input, Johnny.
I concur, Visual Shock from BOTY 2001. Yeyer!
