Things I’m Watching This Week
POSTED ON February 12th, 2010 BY PaulI spend most of my days in front of a computer at work, and occasionally (all the time) I get to fool around and watch YouTube or browse some forums. Some stuff catches my attention more than others, so I figured why not share those things here. The following are some of the most interesting things I’ve come across this week.

Powerful Pexster posted a pretty long rant on the Bboyworld.com forums calling for Alien Ness to be banned. The post was complete with different sized text and a video, and prompted some really interesting responses from both Alien Ness and Erwin.
I hate to be that guy who revels in watching people fight, but this is like watching a soap opera. Well, a soap opera that you have to read and doesn’t have a bunch of good looking people struggling to act.

I’d heard and seen a lot about Meen187 from Calvin, and finally got a chance to see him get down in person at Evolution IV in Atlanta. Breakernyc’s wiki project TheCypher (which we blogged about here) has a new page up about him, including a nice video interview. One thing that surprised me: Meen187 would rather be known for his music than his dancing. Interesting stuff.

These clips featuring B-Girl Sarah (Figure 2 Style) gave me enough energy to get out the door to work today despite the snow flurries. Not only is she completely killing it, she’s having fun and working the crowd. Super dope.

Erwin, Alien Ness and Pexster have each independently made huge contributions to the BBoy scene that I respect them for, but that forum thread got way out of hand. But on some real ish, Paul! Calvin! I’m just trying to educate people about how I single handedly invented BBoying. Whats with all the smack you been talking bout me behind my back! I know all about your secret plan to get me banned from your site. Really all your readers just come here to read my occasional post so your site would pretty much shut down over night. You’re blog servers would have little digital chirping crickets and rolling tumbleweeds. No one has done more for bboying! My mom didn’t hug me enough as a child. I hate orphans and puppies and rainbows! I hate! You’ve left me with no other option. I’m voting to ban you guys from this site until you quit being so negative about everything. Whose with me?

Hey this is the Powerful Pexster yeah it was kinds funny what you have to do the drama it’s was like a soap opera but I think I have the looks to be in a soap opera ha ha

I want to see a Real World / Jersey Shore reality TV show where a bunch of BBoys all live in a house together. Pexster, you down to shack up with Ness and Erwin for a while? It would make for good TV :)
